Habitat for Humanity in Plano

Plano Area Habitat for Humanity is a Chapter of the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eradicating substandard housing around the world. In the twenty-five year history of Habitat for Humanity, over 100,000 homes have been built in over 2000 communities worldwide.

Habitat for Humanity is a Christian-based fellowship. Each work day is started with a devotional. However, Habitat encourages participation by volunteers of all beliefs. Habitat is a partnership that builds safe, decent, and affordable housing. Habitat accomplishes this mission in partnership with volunteers, the community, and homeowner families.

The partnership between the Reformed Church in Plano (RCP) and Plano Area Habitat for Humanity (PAHfH) runs deep. Two members of the PAHfH Board of Directors are RCP members, an RCP family sponsored the third home PAHfH built, another RCP member serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for PAHfH, and several other RCP members are regular volunteers that donate their time virtually every Saturday building houses with PAHfH. RCP also makes regular financial donations to PAHfH to support their work in the community.
